Lauren & Nick | Engaged | Indianapolis Wedding Photographers

It seemed as though every time we scheduled Lauren & Nick’s engagement session, the forecast worked against us. We had originally planned for a sunset session downtown, but after a few tries + horrible storms, we decided to embrace the overcast/rainy day we had and roll with a morning session at a couple of unique locations and I’m SO glad we did. We took a few photos with their precious little pup, Coco, they enjoyed a glass of champagne at Louie’s Wine Dive, and then we stoped at a sweet greenhouse in Carmel. It was the perfect session despite not having that sunset they were originally aiming for! I love using unique locations and getting to shake things up a bit. Not to mention they were¬†wonderful and just enjoying each other’s company and loving on each other while I photographed them – my favorite! ūüôā Lauren & Nick, thank you so much for rolling with it and allowing me to capture your sweet, sweet love.¬†

Anne & Josh | Indianapolis Wedding Photographers | The Willows

Happy Monday! We’re so excited to share this beautiful Spring wedding with you today! The simple color palette paired with the sweetest couple and wonderful group of vendors, this day was one for the books! It was another day that called for crazy amounts of rain, but the radar cleared and we had perfect weather for their ceremony at St. Matthew’s and The Willows reception. We stopped at the Indianapolis Art Center for photos and while most of the grounds were flooded, we found a few gorgeous spots that had the most perfect light! Just wait until you see their portraits and you’ll know what I ¬†mean. Anne & Josh live in Broad Ripple and wanted to share the area with their wedding guests – what a perfect Spring day to do so! Of course, Autumn of Isibeal Studio made magic happen with the exquisite florals (Anne even cried when they arrived!). We still can’t get over the magic she creates at each wedding. She did the florals for our wedding two years ago and since then we’ve worked with her numerous times. Every single bride is blown away every single time. Her work never gets old and no two weddings she does are the same. We’ve listed all the vendors at the bottom of the blog post, as always, but I just wanted to give them all a little extra shout-out for how much effort everyone put into this day. Thank you to such a wonderful group of Indianapolis wedding vendors for working together to create such a special day for Anne & Josh. We love you all and are thankful to work with you often. And we’ll stop rambling now and get to the good stuff! ¬†Congratulations, Josh and Anne! Huge hugs to you both!¬†

Lauren & Brian | D’Amore Wedding | Indianapolis Wedding Photographers

Lauren and Brian are two of the sweetest, most calm, laid-back people you could ever meet. They’re just lovely to be around and are so easy to talk to. Celebrating their marriage with them was such a joy and we are so glad we were able to be a part of their day. Leading up to Saturday, the forecast called for 100% chance of rain basically all day. It was by far the worst forecast we’ve seen as far as wedding days go. It’s rained on plenty of wedding days since we’ve been photographers (and even our own day), but never has it rained literally all day. So, we came up with a solid backup plan. But, just an hour of so before their first look, it cleared up. The sun started shining and the ground was drying. It was a dream! We were able to carry on with our as-scheduled outdoor portraits and it turned out perfectly!¬†

After a trip to the Indiana Statehouse for photos, we settled in at D’Amore (one of our favorite venues!) for the ceremony and reception. With Boldy Chic Events planning the day + Lauren and her family’s beautiful vision, D’Amore looked stunning and it was everything Lauren wanted. Exactly how it should be! We were thrilled to work with Lauren & Brian, meet their families, and create the first heirlooms of their marriage – their wedding photographs. Thanks for having us, Lauren & Brian!¬†

Cari & Chas | Baby Carter On the Way

We photographed Cari & Chas’ Mustard Seed Gardens wedding in December of 2015 and loved these two from the start. Such a sweet couple with a wonderful tribe of family and friends. We couldn’t be happier for them to welcome a sweet little one into their lives at the end of June! We are thrilled for them + it’s so fun to be pregnant alongside quite a few of our brides. It makes it so fun and special. I love seeing their families grow! Cari & Chas were home recently for a baby shower and we were able to grab a quick maternity session before the headed back to Minnesota. Plus, Lilly came along, which was just the best. ūüôā She was happy to pose and smile as long as I tossed a treat her way afterwards!¬†

Taylor & Josh | ENGAGED | Indianapolis Wedding Photographers

Taylor, Josh, and I (Emily) actually all grew up in the same neighborhood very close to each other! Josh’s mom was one of James’ teachers in middle school, too. Such a small world. I remember the days of Josh playing in our back yard with us on our swing set and evenings spent at the ball diamond with Taylor as our brothers played baseball together. And now, they’ve bought an adorable house together, just brought little Rory home a couple of weeks ago, and are getting married in November! The wedding will be so much fun – there are so many mutual family friends who will all be there to celebrate these two and it’ll be¬†a blast. We are excited to be a part of this special time in their lives and can’t wait to witness these two become husband and wife!¬†

We started their session at home because they have such a cute front porch and of course we had to include little Rory! I LOVE photographing couples at their first home together Рit will be so fun for them to look back on years and years from now. And, Rory will be growing QUICKLY, so having some little puppy photos is just the sweetest.  We then headed to Downtown Fishers which is one of my favorite spots for sessions. It was such a pretty evening! Thank goodness Spring is here!
